Las Vegas-based duo Almost Normal are back with a new single off their upcoming EP due in January. Young Forever is the most refined release to date from Andrew Zakher and Ashley Lampman, with their alternative sound now bringing in more modern electropop production. Reminscent of MS MR, the song has a glitchy yet glistening synth and droning-beat underlayer to Lampman’s almost whispering, comforting vocals. The lyrical themes cover the duo’s relationship with their hometown: “never knew what it would be like, growing up in a big city… now we’ve gotten older, I can see it. If I’m being honest, I can say that I feel different.” This sets the scenery for Almost Normal’s most personal EP to date.
